The company was founded by Dermot Mulgrew Senior in 1973. Originally based in the Belfast docks area steady success meant it outgrew the facilities there. In 1995 the company moved to its current central location at a specially converted old mill just off the A1 dual carriageway on the Lurgan road in Dromore, County Down, where it now has 120,000 sq ft (11,000m2) at its disposal, 90,000 sq ft (8,100m2) of that, secure warehousing space.
